Eco leather is the most popular material in ear muffs. They really effectively isolate any sounds coming from outside. Its effectiveness is, of course, still determined by the size of the ear muffs. The best effect is achieved with thick and large earcups - when they thoroughly "wrap" the ear, then the suppression of external sounds is even more effective. Just one thing to remember, eco leather not only isolates sound, but also restricts air circulation. The larger the ear muffs, thicker the material and more effective insulation, the faster the ears get tired and warm. That is, something for something.

Optimal mix.

A great solution is the earcups in the Volcano Prometheus headphones. There, a mix of materials was used, that is, eco leather and fabric. The fabric is only on the outer part of the earcups and is in direct contact with the ear. On the rest of the earcups, eco-leather is used, which isolates ambient sounds.
